Incheon Airport Squid Game 2 (ICN)

The pilot episode of the second season of Squid Game Season 2 begins with the protagonist Seong Gi-hun at the ICN, about to take a flight away from all the drama. We’ll leave the plot to that and focus on the airport instead. This Squid Game 2 location is the primary international airport serving the city and is also one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. It began its services in 2001, replacing the Gimpo International Airport. The Incheon International Airport is built on reclaimed land between the islands of Yeongjongdo and Yongyudo.

Seoul Grand Park

Next on our list of Squid Game Season 2 filming locations is the iconic Seoul Grand Park. Though not in Seoul, the park is located in Gwacheon City of the Gyeonggi Province. The theme park in Squid Game 2 in the second epsiode is none other than the Seoul Grand Park! It is where two primary characters of Season 2 are introduced. Featuring the Seoul Zoo, Theme Garden, and Seoul Land Theme Park, the tourist attraction is easily accessible from the Seoul Subway Line 4.

The park is well-known for its Cherry Blossom Festival and Seoul Land Winter Festival. Besides that, it is famous for its nature trails that overlook the Cheonggyesan Mountain and the Gwanaksan Mountain. You can stop by for some quick bites, shop at the numerous street stalls, or adore the sculptures in and around the park. If the day’s shopping and hopping makes you want to rest for a while, you can do so at the scenic Gwacheon Lake. We totally recommend checking out the park, as you can easily spend an entire day exploring it!

Daejeon Expo Science Park Squid Game 2

We all remember the maze-like pink, yellow, and greenish labyrinth that players crossed before reaching their game venues, don’t we? This and many other such sets in the first season were made in the Daejeon Expo Science Park. In the list of Squid Game 2 filming locations, this location is inarguably the most mysterious on-screen.

The park has become an important landmark. It features many tourist attractions like the Hanbit Tower, Daejeon Expo Memorial Hall, and even the Squid Game Season 2 filming studio!

The Daejeon Expo Science Park has plenty of science-themed attractions like a rocket exhibit and even a traffic museum where children can learn about traffic safety. Also, the Hanbit Tower offers stunning views of Daejeon City, so we recommend checking it out. The park is a great place to hang out and learn interesting things, especially if there are children accompanying you.

Seongapdo Island Squid Game 2

This crescent-shaped Squid Game 2 location is home to the sinister Squid Games, where hundreds of cash-strapped people are playing to test out their luck. While Jun-ho couldn’t decipher the location of the mysterious island in the first season, the second season will definitely show more of the island and his investigation to find it. Even though the game sets were built in studios, exterior shots of the island were used to show the location of the infamous island home to the deadly games.

The island, though not accessible to the public, is near Incheon and is privately-owned. In fact, its eerie vibe and its private status made it a perfect location for the show. We wonder how amazing it would be to live on a far off private island!

Seogang Bridge

Season 2 will feature a nail-biting chase atop the Seogang Bridge, and we’ll leave you on that! The iconic bridge built over the Han River connects the Mapo and Yeongdeungpo districts in Seoul. During night time, the bridge looks even more scenic as you take in breathtaking views of the Han and the dim citylights around you.

Seogang Bridge

This Squid Game 2 shooting location began construction in 1980. It opened 16 years later in 1996, making it an important landmark in Seoul. Also, the bridge has been featured in the famous 2020 K-drama The Flower Of Evil and The 2006 film The Host!
