What Is The Rajasthan International Film Festival?

The Rajasthan International Film Festival is a non-profit international film festival initiative started by the RIFF Film Club, Rajasthan’s first film club. The festival was started to engage with cinema and encourage filmmakers from Rajasthan and outside to bring forth meaningful stories. The RIFF will celebrate its 12th edition in 2026, promising to be bigger and better than all its past editions.

It has established itself as a leading international film festival in India, showcasing groundbreaking documentaries, short films, feature films, and organized panel discussions. While the RIFF has shifted its base between Jodhpur and Jaipur, it will be organized in Jodhpur in 2026.

The 12th edition of the RIFF will promise a diverse lineup of feature films, documentaries, short films, and engaging panel discussions. The RIFF 2026’s theme will be ‘Cinemasthan – Your Lens, Our Rajasthan’.

The much-awaited 12th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival will take place from Saturday, 31 January to Wednesday, 4 February, 2026. From 31 January to 4 February, the film festival will take place at Miraj Cinemas at the Blue City Mall in Jodhpur.

Over the course of five days, the film festival will highlight some of the best feature films and non-feature titles, both from within India and overseas. With diverse storytelling at its core and the theme highlighting ‘Rajasthan’ as both the subject and the backdrop, it will be interesting to keep a tab on the festival lineup.

The RIFF Closing Ceremony and Awards Night will take place on 4 February, starting 6 PM. The ceremony will be an epic one as it will take place at the iconic Mehrangarh Fort.
