Exciting news for Mumbaikars! The Elevated Nature Trail in Malabar Hill is now open to everyone. This eco-conscious initiative provides a distinctive way for locals and tourists to connect with nature. The trail spans 705 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width and offers breathtaking vistas of the Arabian Sea and Girgaum Chowpatty. Developed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and IMK Architects, this elevated trail promotes environmental sustainability while enhancing urban green spaces.
The new elevated nature trail in Mumbai has been developed with an estimated budget of INR 10 crore. This trail takes inspiration from Singapore’s ‘Tree Top Walk’ and resembles the Macritchie Treetop Walk Trailhead, allowing visitors to stroll through the treetops while preserving the surrounding environment. It boasts a wooden walkway elevated on steel structures to minimize ecological disruption.
