They have opened Mumbai’s first Gen Z-themed Post Office at the IIT Bombay Campus, perfectly aligning with their vision for modernization.
The Gen Z Post Office boasts a stylish and youth-centric design, marking a significant evolution in public service delivery. The interior, including vibrant murals and creative wall designs, has been crafted in collaboration between India Post’s internal team and IIT Bombay students. This blending of creativity, functionality, and technology creates a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Gen Z Post Office At IIT Bombay Was Launched On 18th December
This innovative post office, launched on 18th December, offers free Wi-Fi, cafeteria-style seating, and a mini library that encourages a comfortable environment for young customers. Additionally, there is a dedicated music corner where visitors can enjoy tunes while they wait. A standout feature is the ‘Parcel Gyan’ desk, which provides essential information about parcel and logistics services, along with fully digital service options that utilize QR codes for swift delivery. There are also facilities for Aadhaar enrollment and updates, as well as guidance on the Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) schemes to help customers manage their finances.
For students, the Gen Z Post Office offers enticing discounts, including a 10% price cut on Speed Post services and a 5% discount for bulk parcel customers. By creating a vibrant hub for communication and creativity, the Gen Z Post Office is transforming how the younger generation engages with postal services, making it an exciting and functional space for all.
