Customers attempting to purchase cigarettes will need to present identification or proof of age; those who cannot may be refused service, regardless of their appearance.

The Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) is the official currency; however, US Dollars (USD) are commonly accepted in resorts and tourist areas, while Indian Rupees are not.
