Kolkata Christmas Festival 2025: Schedule and Dates

The Kolkata Christmas Festival 2025 at Allen Park is all set to begin on December 18, and the celebrations will be running daily till December 23.  There will be several events and live performances from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. 

The tentative schedule for the same is as follows:

  • December 18: There will be various inaugural events with community choirs, carols (e.g., Loreto Sisters, Methodist Church), and festive lightings across Park Street, turning the streets into a wonderland. 
  • December 19-20: It is expected that the Chief Minister will be addressing the public on December 19. On December 20, several performances are expected, like school choirs. 
  • December 21-23: There will be musical programs on Camac Street, which must not be missed. The Christmas Parade with 500 school kids is also expected.

Peter Cat

Peter Cat has been an iconic Park Street heritage spot since 1975. The place is known to draw crowds for its legendary Chelo Kebabs that locals are completely in love with, even if they have to wait for up to 45 minutes. The place, with its amazing non-vegetarian menu, is surely a haven for all the non-vegetarian lovers. With quick service and amazing variety at affordable prices, this place is a must-visit.

Metro:

  • The Park Street Metro station on the Blue Line, also known as IIHM (International Institute of Hotel Management) Park Street, is the most convenient stop. 
  • The other nearest metro stations are Maidan Metro Station (10 minutes walk away) and Rabindra Sadan (13 minutes walk away). 
  • Metro runs from 7 am to 10 pm, and the fares start at INR 10 with frequent services (every 10 minutes). 

Bus:

  • There are multiple bus routes that serve Park Street. The nearest bus stop is Esplanade or Chowringhee. (S14, S15 or DN4). Park Street is just a 5 to 10-minute walk away from these bus stops. 
  • You can use apps like Moovit for real-time traffic and routes. 
  • The fare ranges between INR 5 to INR 20 depending on the distance. 

Train:

  • The main railway stations to reach Park Street are Howrah Station (20-30 km away) and Seldah Station (5 to 7 km away). 
  • You can either take a taxi or a metro to Park Street from these stops.
