The IRCTC Heli Yatra website is the official website for Kedarnath Helicopter Shuttle Service. These rides operate from three helipads: Guptkashi, Sersi, and Phata. Note that bookings for the helicopter rides are not available on any other website.

To begin, you must register yourself on the https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/ website. This is a mandatory process, so don’t skip it!

Once you book your ticket, carry a printed copy of your ticket and a valid government issued ID card with you on the trip. Note that soft copies of these ID cards will not be accepted!

A maximum of six people can be booked on one ticket and only two tickets can be booked from one account. So, if you are traveling in a large group, it is recommended that you create multiple accounts to book the tickets.

For Kedarnath helicopter bookings in 2025, there is a strict baggage limit that you must adhere to. You’ll be allowed to carry only a shoulder bag with a maximum weight of 5 kg. Under no circumstances will you be allowed to carry extra luggage.

  • The Kedarnath Temple is located at an altitude of more than 3,500 meters above sea level. Moreover, the temple is characterized by uneven terrain, cold temperatures, and thin air. So, if you already have a physical disorder, we recommend consulting a physician before starting the journey.
  • Carry a water bottle with you at all times as well as protein or energy bars with you.
  • Carry sunscreen with an SPF of 40 or more as well as a cold cream or moisturizer with you to protect yourself against the sun and ultraviolet radiation.
  • Use heavy-duty trekking shoes and avoid flip flops or low quality shoes as you’ll be trekking on terrains for a good amount of time.
  • If you are pregnant, we highly recommend avoiding to embark on the pilgrimage.
  • Infants of 2 years old or less will be allowed for the ride free of cost. However, the weight of the child should not exceed 10 kg. Children above 2 years of age will be required to get the normal tickets just like adults.
