Karnataka, famous for its diverse cities and towns, is ready to enhance tourism by introducing seaplanes to key destinations. The state government has revealed plans to start this service, making it easier to visit popular places such as Hampi, Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS), and the Almatti backwaters.
Karnataka is set to enhance its tourism appeal by making several lesser-known locations more accessible. It aims to draw in more visitors. Tourism Minister HK Patil emphasized the government’s dedication to showcasing the state’s rich cultural and historical sites as part of this plan.
Along with introducing seaplane services, the government is also developing a multilingual website designed to attract international travelers. This platform will offer complete information about Karnataka’s tourist destinations in various foreign languages. This will make it easier for visitors from around the globe to discover the state. The initiative is being created in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, with the intent of boosting Karnataka’s presence on the global tourism stage.
In addition to seaplanes, the government is also enhancing other modes of transportation, focusing on better rail and road connections. These initiatives are part of a larger effort to make Karnataka’s popular tourist attractions more reachable.
Besides this, Karnataka launched a 3D virtual tour showcasing its heritage sites, allowing people to enjoy immersive films that feature beautiful temples and historical landmarks managed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). This innovative program enables individuals to explore the state’s rich cultural and historical legacy from home. The virtual tours are accessible through the state’s tourism website.
