2025 has begun with immense excitement. From the Mahakumbh Mela to Coldplay’s iconic performance, making it an exhilarating start to the year. As we move forward, there’s more exciting news! The revered Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is set to resume in 2025 after being suspended for nearly four to five years.

India and China have mutually agreed to restart the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and are on board to resume direct flights.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri recently met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong in Beijing to discuss the next steps in normalizing bilateral relations following the border standoff that lasted over four years.

During the meeting, Misri and Sun reviewed the state of bilateral relations and agreed to implement certain people-centric measures to stabilize and rebuild ties, as stated by the External Affairs Ministry.

The two sides decided that the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage would resume in the summer of 2025, and further discussions will take place regarding the logistics in line with existing agreements.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and direct flights between India and China have been suspended since 2020. With the upcoming 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, this decision marks a significant milestone. Stay tuned for more updates!
