Abhay Singh hails from Haryana and later got admission in IIT Bombay. He spent four years at IIT Bombay and earned his degree in aerospace engineering.
Things changed and he then decided to transition into design by pursuing a Master’s in Design along with a strong passion for photography.
He lived in Canada for 3 years from 2019, earning more than 36 lakh INR per annum.
However, he then started struggling with depression despite earning a hefty paycheck. He realized that his true calling lies somewhere, delving into philosophical concepts like post-modernism and the expansive works of Socrates and Plato.
He then decided to pave his way towards spirituality as a means of finding his own calling.
The viral IIT Baba Abhay Singh has also been maintaining distance from his family members since the last 6 months and after his alleged disappearance from his Ashram, his family visited the place to look out for him.
The Alleged Disappearance of Viral IIT Baba Abhay Singh
His recent interviews at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 made him an internet sensation after he revealed his education and former life, which surprised many netizens.
However, now there are also alleged reports of his disappearance, with some news portals also claiming that he was ousted from his 16 Madi Ashram in Maha Kumbh Mela Prayagraj.
Baba Abhay Singh reacted to this news and claimed that the sudden disappearance of viral IIT Baba Abhay Singh is ‘false’. In fact, he reported to many news portals that he was asked to leave the Madi Ashram.
He says that the ashram thinks he has become famous and might expose something about the ashram. To set up some context here, IIT Baba, after his media interviews went viral, has about 4,03,000 followers on Instagram.
Fellow seers from his ashram alleged that he was also struggling with mental disorders and resorted to drugs due to overwhelming media interactions.
He dismissed all these false allegations and asked the “authority” of those claiming to announce him as mentally unstable.
He also criticized fellow seer Someshwar Puri of the Juna Akhara for claiming that Puri was Baba Abhay Singh’s guru. The viral IIT Baba Abhay Singh dismissed any notion of a guru-shishya relationship.
