Hyderabad is all set to introduce India’s largest aquarium, adding yet another jewel to its already impressive tourism crown. Located at Nehru Zoological Park, this exciting new attraction will feature an underwater tunnel aquarium, allowing guests to stroll through and marvel at an array of marine life from regions such as Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Currently, the Nehru Zoological Park features 15 smaller aquariums that showcase a variety of freshwater and marine species. However, the upcoming aquarium in Hyderabad is set to significantly boost the park’s appeal to visitors. This impressive project is being developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, with construction anticipated to be completed by 2026, pending approval from the Central Zoo Authority.

The underwater aquarium will span 4,000 square meters and is being constructed with support from marine experts from Singapore and Australia, as well as key marine centers across India, including Marine World in Kerala and Ahmedabad’s Science City. With an estimated budget of INR 50 crore, it promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.

Additionally, it will focus on raising awareness about marine biodiversity and conservation efforts.
