Hyderabad To Build INR 225-Crore Artificial Beach, First Of Its Kind In The City

Artificial Beach

Attention beach lovers! We have exciting news for you! Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana and a bustling center for technology and food, is set to get its very own artificial beach. That’s right! A project worth INR 225 crores has been approved to transform 35 acres of land at Kotwal Guda on the city’s outskirts into a beach oasis. Construction is slated to kick off in December 2025, thanks to a collaboration between the public and private sectors, as reported by News18.

The planned artificial beach aims to offer a unique getaway, featuring an artificial lake surrounded by golden shores, floating villas, luxe resorts, and varied adventure activities. It will cater to families with attractions like wave pools, parks, play areas, cycling paths, dining options, cinemas, and decorative fountains.

The goal is to establish not just an artificial beach, but a complete entertainment and adventure hub that allows both residents and visitors in Hyderabad to enjoy weekends without leaving the city.

The Artificial Beach Aims To Act Like The Ultimate Weekend Getaway Destination

In terms of the location, Kotwal Guda has been selected as the site for this development because of its prime position near the Outer Ring Road, which provides excellent access and plenty of room for growth. It’s important to note that environmental conservation will be a key focus in this project, with sustainable building practices being prioritized throughout the construction process.

Patel Ramesh Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC), announced that the detailed project report has been completed. Several international companies have expressed interest in investing more than the initial INR 225 crore.

He also mentioned that Telangana has a great tourism potential worth over INR 15,000 crore, which includes heritage sites, forts, and eco-tourism locations. The planned artificial beach is expected to be a key project that will help promote Hyderabad as an international tourist destination.
