Goa, famous for its stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife, is embracing a new aspect of its identity. In addition to its reputation as a party destination, the state is now set to introduce a Ganga Aarti experience inspired by Varanasi along the Mandovi River at Narve. This exciting initiative, spearheaded by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), has recently received clearance from the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ). The project aims to create a beautiful riverside venue where visitors can enjoy a blend of spirituality and the natural beauty that Goa has to offer.

The initiative focuses on transforming the banks of the Mandovi River at Narve, located in Bicholim taluka, into an impressive space for ‘Ghat Aarti,’. It is inspired by the renowned Ganga Aarti in Varanasi. Once the project is finalized, visitors and devotees will have the opportunity to partake in a traditional evening aarti surrounded by flickering lamps, chanting, and reflections on the water. The experience will unfold against a picturesque Goan backdrop.
