Basant Panchami

Also known as Vasant Panchami or Saraswati Puja, the festival is celebrated on the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month of Magha. As per traditions, the Panchami marks the first day of Spring and is considered auspicious.

On this day, Goddess Saraswati, the deity of music, knowledge, and wisdom is worshipped and people wear yellow. The colour signifies the blooming of the mustard flower, a common crop in India that symbolizes the arrival of spring. The This is celebrated more in North India than South.

Valentine’s Week

If there’s one event that is synonymous with February, it has to be Valentine’s Week (and Day). The global event is celebrated to honour love, affection, and care for your loved ones, and not just your romantic partner, but also your friends and family. In fact, many cities and towns celebrate the festival of love more than ever.

Valentine’s is celebrated over a week with many themed days such as Teddy Day, Chocolate Day, and Rose Day. Apart from that, there are other versions where boys and girls celebrate their friends in the form of Galentine’s and Malentine’s Day! Now if that isn’t wholesome, we don’t know what is!

Maha Shivratri

Date: 26th February

Maha Shivratri is one of the most significant religious festivals in Hinduism, making it a widely celebrated day in India. The festival honors Lord Shiva, one of the three gods in the Holy Trinity.
