Situated nearly 50 kilometers (km) east of Mumbai City, the stadium was inaugurated in March 2008 as Mumbai Indians’ (a team in the Indian Premier League/IPL) home ground.

By Air
The nearest airport to the stadium is Mumbai’s international airport, called Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM). This airport is one of the busiest airports in the country and has plenty of international and domestic flights. If you are visiting Mumbai by air, you can take a local cab or hire an Ola/Uber service from the airport to the stadium or your hotel venue in Navi Mumbai. If you’re staying for the concert in the Central or Western Railway Line Areas, such as Bandra, Vile Parle, Andheri, Airport Road, Fort, Colaba, Juhu, or Versova, you can easily transfer between trains on the Dadar and Kurla railway stations. From the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), there are direct trains available to Nerul.
