ToggleDo You Wanna Partner: What’s It About, How Many Episodes And More Details
In the series “Do You Wanna Partner,” available on Amazon Prime, Tamannaah Bhatia portrays Shikha Roy Chowdhury, who is fired from her position as Marketing Head at an AlcoBev company in Gurgaon due to unexpected circumstances. Diana Penty plays her close friend, Anahita Makujina, a finance professional who resigns after recognizing her value within her firm. Together, these two strong women- one a marketing expert and the other a finance enthusiast decide to launch their own beer brand, stepping into the male-dominated world of alcohol.
Throughout this eight-episode series, you will witness the duo’s evolution as they navigate challenges, from securing funding to collaborating with a brewer named Bobby Bagga, played by Nakuul Mehta, ultimately leading to the launch of their low-alcohol beverage brand, Jugaroo.
In the series, they face doubts because of their gender, so they create a fictional male boss, portrayed by Jaaved Jaaferi, to gain respect. While dealing with challenges from a loan shark and an angry liquor baron, the show keeps a comedic and light-hearted feel. It combines humor with uplifting moments and strong performances.
Although some expectations may not be met, the interesting story and stylish visuals make it entertaining. The colorful settings of Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai add to the experience.
Final Thoughts: Should You Watch It Or Skip It?
If you love rom-coms, you’ll definitely have a good time with this one! Just don’t expect anything super deep or uplifting. While it has a nice message and a great cast, it falls a bit flat in some areas. The show kicks off with lots of energy, but then falls into typical male stereotypes and stories. You’ll find yourself rooting for the girls, but it’s like having plain beer without the froth – still enjoyable, but not too exciting. So, it’s a fun one-time watch, but keep your expectations in check!
