When we think of hot air balloon rides, the stunning landscape of Cappadocia in Turkey often comes to mind. However, you won’t need to travel that far to enjoy this thrilling experience! Starting November 29, Delhi will launch its very first hot air balloon rides. This exciting venture follows successful trial runs at the Baansera Park along the Yamuna riverfront, organized by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Delhi To Launch First-Ever Hot Air Balloon Rides From INR 3000
Starting Saturday, November 29, Baansera Park will offer tethered hot air balloon rides for the public. In the coming days, this exciting service will also become available at three additional locations: Asita Riverfront, Yamuna Sports Complex, and Commonwealth Games Village Sports Complex. This initiative is part of a larger effort to enhance the Yamuna riverbank and other community spaces with enjoyable adventure and leisure activities.
Each balloon ride costs INR 3,000 per person and lasts about 15 to 20 minutes. Two rides will be available each day – one in the morning and one in the evening – depending on weather conditions. Each basket can accommodate four passengers per trip.
The tethered balloons stay grounded while providing a safe ascent, allowing passengers to enjoy stunning views of the river and city. A certified ballooning operator with extensive experience is managing the rides, ensuring all safety checks and aviation regulations are met before every launch.
