ToggleChar Dham Yatra Registration 2026 To Open On March 6
Although there were discussions about possibly introducing a small fee for registration, it has not been confirmed, and for now, all registrations remain free. The Uttarakhand government has announced that registration will be mandatory starting on March 6, 2026, and will be available both online and offline.
On March 6th, the online registration for the yatra will start, and it will be free of charge. There will also be offline registration counters available before the yatra begins for those who wish to register in person. Pilgrims need to complete biometric registration, which involves taking fingerprints and photos. This can be done at specific counters along the Yatra route or through authorized travel agencies. Remember to bring a valid ID for registration.
In 2026, additional registration counters will be established, with 30 in Rishikesh and 20 in Haridwar. This year, the government has made it necessary to provide an Aadhar Card for Chardham registrations.
