Bandra Station is reaching a remarkable milestone: it’s turning 165 years old! This iconic station, which serves thousands of commuters in Mumbai daily, will celebrate this special anniversary with a vibrant event called the Bandra Station Mahotsav. The main events for the fest will start from June 20. The Western Railway has organized a series of exciting activities to honor the station’s rich history. This includes a light and sound show, art competitions, a vlog race, the release of a special commemorative stamp, and various cultural performances featuring local talent.
As part of the celebration of heritage stations across Indian Railways, Bandra Station, inaugurated on November 28, 1864, and Ratlam Station, which opened in March 1923, have been selected for a centenary celebration. The festivities at Bandra will go from June 20 until July 2025. And those at Ratlam are scheduled for October 2025, according to Western Railway Chief PRO Vineet Abhishek.
