Since its opening in 2024 in Bandra, Benne has become a go-to spot for quick, affordable, and comforting South Indian food, usually light snacks and breakfast items. Many A-listers including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, and Virat Kohli have visited Benne, further catapulting the cafe into fame.
The cafe is inspired by the traditional ‘darshinis’ – small self-service, mostly stand-and-eat eateries popular in the South.
Benne, after two successful outlets in Bandra and Juhu, has now decided to expand in South Bombay, or SoBo. The cafe, known for its quick, affordable, and quality South Indian food, is all set to open doors with its third outlet, called the ‘Benne Chowpatty’.
Third Outlet In Mumbai: What To Expect At Benne Chowpatty
The third Benne outlet in Mumbai, Benne Chowpatty, is about to be their largest space yet. It will be spread across 4,400 sq. ft., with ample space for seating as well as standing counters.
The space will boast high ceilings, elegant yet minimal lighting and decor, and ample natural light thanks to large windows offering a glimpse of the bustling Chowpatty area.
Benne Chowpatty, being the largest Benne outlet yet, will have enough seating for its guests. While its Bandra outlet is a standing-only space and the Juhu outlet has a few more, the Chowpatty outlet will have a balanced mix of standing + seating options.

Benne Chowpatty: What’s On The Menu?
The newest space at Chowpatty will have the same menu loved by thousands of Benne lovers. Think of crispy, golden-brown benne dosas, cloud-like, pillowy idlis, fluffy Mangalore buns, decadent Mysore Pak, and indulgent filter coffee – and much more!
While the food items already loved by dozens of patrons will be on the menu, there are some new additions!
The outlet will feature a live, fresh chutney counter to ensure that patrons get served the freshest chutney made right in front of them!
And if you follow Jain dietary principles, we have some good news for you! The outlet will offer a Jain Pallya option for its dosas.
When Is Benne Chowpatty Opening?
Benne Chowpatty is opening doors from March 27th to March 29th for a ‘soft launch’. It will remain open for guests for limited hours, from 3 PM to 11:30 PM on these three days.
Due to the ongoing LPG crisis, the cafe will operate in the given limited hours. However, they will serve the entire menu until stocks last.
Note that these timings are only for the three days mentioned above. The cafe will update its future timings on March 30th, 2026.
