Baahubali Shooting Locations
1. Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad is considered to be the largest film studio complex in the world. Countless Indian films, across languages, are shot here on a daily basis. For the shooting of both the Baahubali films, elaborate sets were thoughtfully erected in the film city. Over 100 acres inside the film city were used to construct grand sets replicating the fictional world of Mahishmati, where the movie is set. Following the global success of the films, Ramoji Film City authorities have retained some parts of the sets and they are major tourist attractions within this film city today. You can take guided tours inside the film city, visit different film sets, as well as experience plenty of shows and rides.

2. Sahyadri Mountains

To simulate the world-building of Mahishmati, the makers made a genius use of VFX and real-life locations. Among the many real-life locations they utilized, the Sahyadri ranges were one of the most scenic places where they shot the Baahubali films. The films were filmed at different spots in these pristine, lush-green mountain ranges, including the tranquil hill station of Mahabaleshwar.
3. Orvakal Rock Garden
Situated on the NH-40 highway, this rock garden is known for its natural rock formations and a scenic lake. This location has been used to shoot crucial scenes in the Baahubali films. Makers of the first film began shooting at this location way back in July 2013. The popularity of the films has now made the Orvakal Rock Garden a must-visit tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh.

Constructed way back in the 11th century as a simple mud fort, the fort was later developed into a fortified citadel in 1518.
