Launched for INR 1.869 crore, the garden is being celebrated as Asia’s first Chrysanthemum Garden. It aims to replicate the impressive success of the Tulip Garden, which drew in over 855,000 visitors in the spring of 2025.
This initiative is designed to broaden the region’s tourism season beyond just spring, providing visitors with a vibrant and aromatic experience during the fall months. The garden is projected to draw in 2-3 million visitors this season, with an anticipated revenue generation of INR 500-700 crore. Additionally, the garden’s inauguration aligns with the third Autumn Flower Festival.
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah praised all the gardeners and the Floriculture Department, discussing plans to further improve the chrysanthemum garden with each passing season.
