If you’re a pet owner, you probably know how hard it is to leave your furry friend behind when you go on vacation. The guilt can be overwhelming, and you end up missing them a lot while you’re away. But now, things are different! With the updated “Pets on Akasa” policy from Akasa Air, you can bring your pet along on domestic flights in India, even in the cabin with you.
Launched on November 1, 2022, this service features new rules that make travelling with your pets easier. As per the new updates, you can now bring two pets in the cabin instead of just one. This is great news for families or people with multiple small pets, as it reduces the stress of separating them during the journey.
The weight limit for pets in the cabin has also increased to 10 kg, including the carrier, allowing for a wider variety of pets to travel comfortably alongside their owners.
The airline has also relaxed the rules about health documents. The validity of the required health certificates has been extended, providing travelers with more flexibility and reducing last-minute stress. This is especially useful for frequent flyers who want to avoid scrambling for paperwork.
