With the rising pollution levels across India, it’s apparent that what we need are not more concrete jungles but lush parks and forests with enough flora and fauna. And to ensure that we breathe fresh air, Ahmedabad in Gujarat is set to establish a new oxygen park with 75,000 trees. This project aims to improve air quality while acting as a recreational space for residents.
Ahmedabad will welcome this new oxygen park in Tragad. It spans 24,000 square meters and is developed to support biodiversity and promote wellness. This green sanctuary will have thousands of trees and plants known for producing high oxygen levels.
The park will also have designated areas for birdwatching and walking trails. This will make it an ideal place for leisure, fitness, and relaxation. This oxygen park strives to meet all of your needs. Whether you’re looking for fresh air or an open area for exercise, the park has it all.
This oxygen park is not the first of its kind in Ahmedabad. There are currently a number in the city, including one in Science City, Hebatpur, which is 4,000 square meters in size. Another is located in Sindhu Bhavan, which is 27,000 square meters.
Other cities in Gujarat, such as Rajkot and Kutch, also feature expansive oxygen parks. And Surat, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, and Junagadh are set to develop their own soon.
The efforts of local communities and social organizations dedicated to developing such green areas are what are driving this movement rather than the government. These collaborative efforts reflect a strong dedication to improving air quality and encouraging environmentally friendly growth in cities.
