After the beaches, it’s the churches of Goa that enchant the tourists. St. Michael’s Church is considered one of the oldest in the state. It was originally built in 1603, but was rebuilt again in 1717. The new structure was inspired by the popular Se Cathedral of Old Goa.

As the name suggests, this church is dedicated to St. Michael. The idol inside captures the attention of all the visitors, as you’ll see St. Michael holding a scale in his left hand with a demon under his feet. There are two towers on either side of the church, giving you an insight into Portuguese architecture.

2. Artjuna

Okay, let’s all accept it. An important part of any vacation is getting the most aesthetic pictures and spamming your Instagram with them. Artjuna in Goa is just the place you want to visit to make all your followers envious.

It’s an old Portuguese house bordered by a garden that’s converted into an artsy cafe. They serve Mediterranean cuisine paired with delicious salads, because healthy doesn’t always mean bland, tasteless food. Now and then, they even host live gigs and workshops for your entertainment.

Timings: 7:30 am to 10:30 pm

3. Anjuna Beach

Once you’ve ticked off the church and lunch off your list, it’s time for some good ol’ beach time. Anjuna Beach has a charm of its own. You’ll find a bohemian crowd chattering and going about having the time of their life.

You can either take a stroll until the sun sets or go for water activities like parasailing, banana boat ride, or bumper boat. Don’t find either of the options appealing?  Anjuna Beach is lined with shacks, all of them inviting you to lie on a deck chair with a beer bottle in hand – the quintessential Goa experience.

4. Baba Ka Dhaba

Imagine aimlessly walking about in Anjuna and accidentally stumbling upon an undiscovered South Indian dhaba. You wouldn’t be exactly walking aimlessly, considering we’re guiding you to go there, but if you want South Indian delicacies, Baba Ka Dhaba is where you want to go.

This small dhaba is owned by extremely friendly owners who serve lip-smacking Malabar Parotta and many other dishes. Need one more reason to go? The prices are very affordable.

Places To Visit On Day 2

1. Holy Basil Ayurvedic Center

Start your morning by easing up all the tensed muscles because you’re getting an Ayurvedic massage! The prices are reasonable, and it’ll prepare you for the rest of the day. You’ll even get advice from the resident chiropractor on how to look after your spine because nobody wants to be a hunchback of Notre Dame after growing old.

Timings: 9:30 am to 9:30 pm

2. Anjuna Flea Market

An odd request, but plan your Anjuna trip in a way that your second day falls on a Wednesday. Why? Because the Anjuna Flea Market takes place every Wednesday and you don’t want to miss it.

Back in the 60s, hippies would gather at this market and sell second-hand items to get some money. Now, you’re going to see vibrant colors all around you with vendors selling artefacts like Tibetan souvenirs, funky accessories, and Nepali goods. If you have good bargaining skills, you’ll surely pick up something unique from here.

3. Backstreet Bites

Before making the last stop of the day, stop by this food truck and eat until your heart’s content. The food is delicious, and the prices are dirt cheap.

Fill your tummy with cheesy fries, burgers, and wraps – the taste won’t disappoint, and you’ll be good to go for the rest of the night.

Timings: 8:00 pm to 2:30 am

4. Shiva Valley

Head to Anjuna Beach and let the party ensue because you know you’ve been waiting for it. Shiva Valley has been a party hotspot for ages now and the vibe is absolutely legendary. After the sun goes down, let your hands go up as you dance the night to psychedelic music.

The fun starts as early as 4:00 pm and carries on until the next morning. Of course, drinks are also involved.

Summing Up

As all things important, this two-day Anjuna itinerary is perfectly balanced with good food, beach time, drinks, and the most important – partying! We’ve taken you through some low-key food places and some of the most well-known destinations. Now, all you have to do is go to Anjuna and have fun.
