If you’re a pet parent worried about finding accommodation in Goa, this unstumbled guide is here to put your anxieties to rest. Dogs At Beaches: What To Keep In Mind
Veterinary Access
Areas like Siolim, Mapusa, Panaji, and Margao have a number of veterinary clinics. In a case of emergency, you’ll have easier access to the vet. As such, it is prudent to choose your stay accordingly
Stray Dogs On Beaches
Stray dogs on public beaches can be very territorial. As such, it would be prudent to keep your dog on a leash.
Heat On The Beaches
The sand can be very hot during the daytime. If you plan on going on a long walk with your pet, it is better to do so either during early morning or late afternoon or after sunset.

Author’s Note
Having traveled with people who own pets, there are a few things not everyone is aware of when traveling with pets. Firstly, what came as a big (and somewhat unsavory) surprise to me was the pet fees and the security deposit. Some properties have a per-night pet charge, which is different from a security deposit. It is imperative that you clarify which of the two the property you’ve selected charges. While you’re at it, you should also clarify the rules for the swimming pool, if the property has one. Many properties disallow pets in human swimming pools.
Summing Up
Traveling with a pet can be one of the most enriching experiences one can have. At the same time, the kind of property you choose to stay at with your furry friend can mar or make your experience. The properties on this list offer a safe, reliable, and enjoyable stay experience that elevates your Goa trip with your pet.
