Good news for all the aspirants of the state police constable exam! Now, traveling to your examination centre will not be stressful anymore. The Uttar Pradesh or UP government has decided to offer free bus rides to all the state police constable candidates to help them reach their examination centres. Yes, you read that right. Here’s everything you must know about this free bus travel provided by the government of Uttar Pradesh. 

Free Bus Travel For Aspirants Of Police Constable Exam In UP

The free bus travel service will be provided by the UP government, along with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). This service is exclusively for all the aspirants appearing in the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. In a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, gave instructions to the concerned authorities related to free bus travel. 

The instructions by the Chief Minister were very clear and included certain terms:

  • Not even a single candidate should have to stand in the scorching sun
  • The examination centres must be equipped with all the basic facilities
  • Uninterrupted power supply is a must.
  • Alternative power arrangements should be ensured at all the examination centres.

He also ordered a rehearsal of examination arrangements to be held on June 06 to make sure that everything is in place.  

He also mentioned that the transport department should charge concessional fares to passengers using inter-district special buses.

Exams Conducted In Two Shifts

The recruitment examination for Civil Police Constable and equivalent positions will be held on June 08, June 09, and June 10, 2026. These exams will be conducted in two shifts every day across Uttar Pradesh. The timings are: 

  • Morning Shift: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
  • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Around 29 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the examination. The Chief Minister also mentioned that many anti-social elements might try to spread rumors during the examination period. 

They might also use social media to circulate misleading information. He has ordered officials to keep an eye on such activities. They are also asked to take strict action against all the people who are found responsible for the same. 

Free travel is valid on all regional and ordinary UPSRTC buses across the state.

Aspirants of the state police constable examination can now travel in the UP state-run buses for free during their examinations. This free travel service will cover their onward and return, both journeys.
