A key aspect of these new regulations is the mandatory health screening process for participants. It requires pilgrims to obtain fitness certificates and undergo medical evaluations to confirm their readiness for the challenging journey. This initiative aims to mitigate the risks associated with altitude sickness or other health complications during the pilgrimage.

Moreover, special attention will be given to older adults and individuals with pre-existing health conditions. Authorities plan to enhance emergency response measures and provide additional medical assistance along the pilgrimage route to facilitate a smoother and safer experience for all travelers.
The Uttarakhand government has set up 31 health check-up centers and more than 20 Medical Relief Posts (MRPs) along popular trekking paths to ensure the well-being of pilgrims. Travelers may need to obtain a medical fitness certificate or undergo immediate health screening to confirm their ability to cope with low oxygen levels at altitudes beyond 10,000 feet.
Vehicles Banned On Char Dham Routes After 10 PM
To enhance safety, the state transport authority has also enforced a ban on vehicles on Char Dham routes after 10 PM. Vehicles can now only operate from 4 AM to 10 PM, and all drivers must complete special training for navigating hilly areas.
Phones Banned At Kedarnath Temple
The authorities have introduced new regulations for the VIP darshan system at Kedarnath. In the future, official government guidelines will sanction individuals for VIP access. This means all other visitors must join the regular queue. This change aims to create a fair experience for everyone. This move aims to reduce waiting times, allowing for a more meaningful darshan. Additionally, the temple administration has enforced a strict ban on mobile phones, photography, and vlogging within the temple area to maintain order at the site.
