The Mewar Festival 2026 is a vibrant three-day festival in Udaipur that coincides with the revered Gangaur festival. It features traditional Rajasthani music, folk dances, colourful processions with idols, and a boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Gangaur is celebrated to honor Goddess Gauri (Parvati) and Lord Shiva (Isar). During this festival, traditionally, married women pray to the divine couple and ask for a peaceful married life, while the unmarried ones ask for a good life partner. During this festival, women in traditional attire carry idols of Shiva and Parvati for conducting special rituals at the Gangaur Ghat.
