The shooting for Dhurandhar 2 or Dhurandhar The Revenge was done back-to-back while shooting the first part of the movie. Just after the poster and first look of Dhurandhar The Revenge were out, there were also many videos and photos from the shoot leaked on Instagram. These photos and videos feature Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt from the shoot locations in South Mumbai.

In early 2026, the movie was shot across several locations in South Mumbai. These locations included many high-security areas in the fort, Ballard Estate, Nariman Street, and Modi Street. The shoot actually faced some regulatory issues in February 2026.

The leaked pictures showed Sanjay Dutt in an all-white outfit filming high-action shots at Ballard Street. The trailer features these shots, and they look simply amazing!

Dhurandhar 2 Filming Locations In Mumbai: Regulatory Issues

While shooting at the Modi Lane, the shoot was apparently halted for two days. The reason behind this was that an FIR was lodged against the location manager, Rinku Rajpal Valmiki. This was because of unauthorized drone usage and the use of prohibited, flammable materials (torches) that went against the local regulations.

Specialized permissions are required from the authorities in order to shoot in such high-security lanes, especially when the shoot features drones and flammable materials.

Dhurandhar 2 Thailand Filming Locations

For some of the most pivotal scenes that seem to be shot in Pakistan, the film’s production transformed Thailand’s Bangkok into various cities of Pakistan. One of these cities was Myari, which also featured in the first part of the movie.

Production Designer Saini S Johray mentioned that they had created a 6-acre set in Thailand. This was a plot of land in Bangkok, which was transformed into a distinct, narrow-laned city, Karachi’s Lyari, and was used for shooting both parts.

There were many Urdu signboards and vintage cars used to make sure that the set looks real life Pakistani city. The team worked very hard for a month, including many Thai workers, to make sure to achieve the authenticity of the place to look as similar as the actual Pakistani city.

Summing Up

This upcoming part of the Dhurandhar movie is set mainly on the crime lord Major Iqbal, who is played by Arjun Rampal. The second installment will continue the story from where it ended in the first part, and we are very excited, especially after knowing about its film locations majorly set in Mumbai.
