Single Salma: What is The Review And Should You Watch It Or Not

“Single Salma” kicks off with a fun vibe. Set against the charming backdrop of Lucknow, the first half intrigues with its depiction of family dynamics and societal pressures. Salma’s story unfolds beautifully until she boards the flight to London, marking a shift in the narrative’s relatability. However, the second half feels rather formulaic. While the beginning offers a fresh perspective, as the story progresses, it becomes reminiscent of films like ‘Queen’ and ‘English Vinglish.’

The latter half lacks engagement, and the conclusion is fairly predictable – it’s easy to anticipate what choice she will make. Nonetheless, the film has convincing dialogue, emotional depth, and an empowering message. It is perfect for family viewing, steering clear of clichéd distractions. Huma Qureshi shines with her heartfelt performance, maintaining the film’s pace even when the script stumbles. Shreyas Talpade displays restraint in his character, while Sunny Singh is good in his role.

Lastly, if you’re in the mood for something light and uplifting, whether on a weekend or a weekday, this is an enjoyable watch. The film runs for just over two hours and is available for streaming on Netflix.
