Air
- The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).
- Now take the Airport Express Metro (Orange Line) to Udyog Bhavan metro station or Central Secretariat station, which are the closest to Kartavya Path.
- You can also opt for taxi or cab services. It will take you 40-60 minutes to reach Kartavya Path, depending on the traffic.

- Udyog Bhavan metro station and Central Secretariat station are the two nearest metro stations to Kartavya Path.
- Take the Yellow Line metro to these stations.
- Kartavya Path is at walkable distance from these metro stations.
Bus
- The government has arranged Free Park & Ride bus services for visitors.
- Visitors can easily take the Free Park & Ride bus from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Palika Bazaar parking areas.

How To Go To Republic Day Parade?
The tickets for witnessing the Republic Day parade live at Kartavya Path are exhausted. So only the ones who purchased it in advance online or offline will be the lucky ones to witness this parade live.
Others can watch the grand Republic Day parade on Monday on Doordarshan: DD National and DD News. You can also catch the live telecast that is available on various government websites and All India Radio’s YouTube channel. Many news channels across India also cover the parade live. Doordarshan National, Prasar Bharati Archives, and the Press Information Bureau (PIB) are the official YouTube channels that will broadcast the parade live.
The live coverage will begin from 9:30 AM IST across all the channels. DD National and DD News, being the official broadcaster, begin the live coverage at 8:30 PM. They also cover the Prime Minister’s visit to the National War Memorial before the parade.
Delhi Metro To Run From 3 AM On Republic Day
Access to the Kartavya Path has been made a lot easier this year with the Delhi Metro. This year, the Delhi Metro services will begin at 3 AM on 26th January. This is to ensure that passengers face no difficulties in reaching the venue for the parade.
Along with this, free metro tickets will also be provided to people with invitation cards. These tickets will be valid for return and onward, both journeys. The people who have a valid invitation card as well as a valid government ID will be eligible for free Metro tickets.
Passengers can easily get off at Central Secretariat or Udyog Bhawan metro stations using the free metro tickets.
Delhi Metro also announced that the entry and exit gates of selected metro stations will be temporarily closed on January 26, 2026. These stations include Central Secretariat, Lala Quila, Delhi Gate, Udyog Bhawan, Jama Masjid, and ITO. The gates will remain closed from 3 AM till the end of the programme.

Due to security arrangements on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations, entry and exit at selected metro station gates will remain temporarily closed on 23rd & 26th January 2026, from 3:00 AM till the conclusion of the programme.
