When we think of stars, galaxies, and the Milky Way, Ladakh often comes to mind as an exquisite place for stargazing. Notably, Hanle in Ladakh hosts the Indian Astronomical Observatory, an important site for astronomical studies. However, other regions in India are stepping up too. Recently, Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand took a thrilling step toward promoting science-focused tourism by opening its very own astronomical observatory.
