Perched high on the beautiful Kailasagiri Hills, the skywalk will soon welcome visitors, offering breathtaking sights of the Bay of Bengal, the green Eastern Ghats, and the sparkling city skyline. Even before its official launch, the skywalk has already garnered nationwide attention.

What Are The Key Features Of India’s Longest Skywalk

Get ready to be amazed by India’s upcoming longest skywalk, which will extend an impressive 55 meters from the stunning Kailasagiri, perched at 862 feet above ground and 1,000 feet above sea level. Here are some standout features of this skywalk:

  • Breathtaking Location: Situated near the famous Titanic viewpoint, this skywalk provides visitors with a chance to enjoy panoramic views that are sure to inspire wonder.
  • Robust Construction: Crafted with German-engineered tempered laminated glass, the skywalk consists of three layers of 40 mm-thick panels, reinforced by 40 tonnes of steel.
  • Weight and Wind Resistance: This architectural wonder is designed to endure winds reaching speeds of up to 250 km/h and can support loads of 500 kg per square meter, ensuring strength along with beauty.
  • Safety Measures: To prioritize visitor safety, only 40 people will be allowed on the skywalk at any given time. Each group will have the opportunity to enjoy the views for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Entry Fee: The expected entry fee will range from INR 250 to INR 300, making it an accessible adventure for both local and international visitors. This skywalk promises to be a safe, mesmerizing, and unforgettable experience for all who dare to step onto its glass panels.

What To Know About The Makers Of This Project

This project, a partnership between SSM Shipping & Logistics (Vizag), Bharat Mata Ventures (Kerala), and the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), features a 55-meter glass skywalk. This makes it the longest in India, surpassing Vagamon’s 38-meter bridge.
