IRCTC Unveils Shri Ramayana Yatra Train – A Divine Journey Through Sacred Sites

Growing up, many of us have been captivated by the stories of the Ramayana, highlighting how Lord Ram triumphed over the evil Ravana. This epic tale is depicted in numerous TV shows, movies, and books, making it a significant part of Indian culture. If you feel a deep connection to Lord Ram and his stories, you’re in for a special treat offered by Indian Railways.

The  Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced the “Shri Ramayana Yatra,” a unique pilgrimage journey through the Ramayana circuit, facilitated by the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train. This journey is designed to bring you closer to your spiritual roots, allowing you to explore significant temples and holy sites linked to the life of Lord Ram.

Shri Ramayana Yatra Train Journey To Begin On 25th July

The Shri Ramayana Yatra is an 18-day tour that offers a chance for devotees to immerse themselves in spirituality. Beginning on July 25, 2025, the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train will depart from Delhi’s Safdarjung station and travel to iconic locations associated with Lord Ram, including Ayodhya, Rameshwaram, and more.

This journey is an excellent way to bond with family and friends of all ages while exploring sacred sites tied to Lord Ram. Throughout the tour, you will visit destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, and Rameshwaram.

The train will first stop at Ayodhya to allow pilgrims to visit the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, and Ram ki Paidi. Following that, you can experience the Bharat Hanuman Temple in Nandigram and various temples in Janakpur and Sitamarhi. Additional significant sites include the Tulsi Manas Temple and Ganga Aarti in Varanasi and the breathtaking Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.

As the journey continues, you’ll visit places such as Shringverpur, Nashik, and Rameshwaram, where you can explore various temples and historical sites. Meals, including tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner (all vegetarian), will be provided on board.
