Agoda, a digital travel platform, has released its findings on the most affordable places to visit this spring, perfect for travelers watching their wallets. The top spot goes to Phong Nha in Vietnam, with an average room rate of only $28 per night, attracting those seeking adventure amidst beautiful landscapes.
Tirupati came second on the list and is famous for the Venkateswara Temple, one of the world’s most visited pilgrimage sites, known for its iconic Tirupati laddu, a sweet delicacy that holds great cultural and religious importance. The city not only offers spiritual experiences but also a vibrant cultural scene filled with festivals, traditional music, and exquisite South Indian dishes.
Hat Yai, located in Thailand, ranks third and is famous for its numerous markets and delicious street food. Additionally, the city acts as a gateway to nearby beaches and islands, making it an adaptable destination for spring travel.
When it comes to other places, Padang, Indonesia and Bacolod, Philippines round up the top five list.
To explain how the ranking was created, Agoda looked at the average room rates for the top twenty destinations in each market based on hotel bookings.
