How To Reach Gangapur Dam Backwaters?
By Air
Nashik’s own Ozar Airport is a major domestic airport in Maharashtra, connecting the city to most other cities in India like Delhi, Bangalore, etc. The airport is about 31 kilometers (away) east from Gangapur Dam and you can take a direct cab ride or use local transport to get there.
By Rail
Nashik Road Railway Station is the closest railway station to Gangapur Dam, about 24 km away. Many trains from Pune, Nagpur, and Mumbai halt at this station. From here, you can hire a cab or travel by local buses to get to the dam.
By Road
Nashik is a city well connected to most cities in Maharashtra like Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nagpur, and even cities outside Maharashtra like Surat and Daman. While buses and taxis are available, they might be irregular and overpriced, respectively. If you have your own car or know someone who can drive, it’ll be more convenient for you.
