1. Nakshatra Van
Start your day by touching some grass, literally. This Astro-themed park is constructed thoughtfully as the plants here have a connection with the motion of different astrological planets and the zodiac signs.
What looks like grassy hedges in this park are astrological signs. For instance, if you look from an aerial view, you’ll see a chakra representing the 27 nakshatras and other signs. You can stroll along the paths and click as many photos as you like! With its roots in Indic culture, Nakshatra Van houses a wide range of Ayurvedic medicinal herbs as well.
For the bird lovers, you can make your way to the many little ponds here inhabited by cute ducks. Over the ponds are bridges that you can walk on and look at the ducks. The verdant setting with the quacking of the cute ducks is sure to set the tone of your day right.

1. Vasona Lion Safari Park
Give your second day a thrilling start as you travel to Vasona for the lion safari. It’s 20 km away from Silvassa town on the Khanvel-Silvassa Road. This sanctuary is a shelter and conservation space for Asiatic lions. It also looks after the cubs and provides them with proper medication and food.
Spot lions in their natural habitat as you either go for the 20-minute or the 40-minute safari ride. The tickets start from just INR 25 for adults and INR 10 for children for the 20-minute safari.

2. Butterfly Garden
Another destination at Khanvel near Silvassa that you should check out is the Butterfly Garden. You’ll surely feel like a Disney character as you witness different species of vibrant butterflies. If you’re the chosen one, they might even fly and rest on your hand!

3. BAPS Swaminarayan Temple
Located on the banks of the Daman Ganga River, this temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Made entirely using light pink marble, the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Silvassa has skillfully created domes, and the ceilings have flowers whose petals extend to form a chandelier.
You’ll find the idol to be elegantly clothed in a blue sherwani and a turban. There are also idols of well-known Indian saints and mesmerizing artworks. You can make it in time for the evening aarti, a grand affair where the priests chant the holy mantra and the sounds of drums and bells echo in the main complex. After worshiping, you can spend some time outside on the spacious lawn.
