Aare Ware Beach has always been one of the Konkan coast’s most scenic hidden gems. Known for its winding coastal roads, clear blue water and quieter shoreline compared to crowded tourist beaches, the destination has long attracted road trippers heading towards Ganpatipule.

Now, the beach has added a major adrenaline attraction to its laid-back coastal charm. The Ocean Fly Zipline, promoted as India’s first over-the-sea dual-cable zipline, is now operational and drawing adventure lovers to Ratnagiri.

What Is The Ocean Fly Zipline?

The Ocean Fly Zipline lets visitors glide above the Arabian Sea with uninterrupted views of the Konkan coastline below. Located along the Aare-Ware coastal stretch near Ganpatipule, the attraction combines adventure tourism with the region’s natural landscape.

According to the official website, the zipline stretches approximately 1,400 feet and operates at a height of nearly 150 to 180 feet above sea level. Riders can reach speeds of up to 35 to 40 kmph during the experience. The ride has quickly become one of the biggest tourist talking points in Ratnagiri this year, especially among younger travellers and weekend visitors from Mumbai and Pune.

Why Aare Ware Beach Is Becoming More Popular

The zipline may be the newest attraction, but Aare Ware Beach itself has been steadily growing in popularity over the last few years.

Located around 10 to 15 kilometres from Ganpatipule Beach, the twin beaches are known for their clean shoreline, dramatic cliffside drive and peaceful atmosphere. The coastal road connecting Ratnagiri and Ganpatipule is often considered one of Maharashtra’s most scenic drives.

Unlike heavily commercialised beach destinations, Aare Ware has managed to retain a quieter and more natural vibe, which is exactly what continues attracting travellers looking for slower coastal escapes.

Things To Know Before Visiting

The zipline is open to both beginners and experienced adventure seekers, but safety guidelines are in place. Official activity operators mention that participants must meet basic weight and age requirements before riding. Safety harnesses, helmets and trained guides are provided onsite.

Visitors are also advised to wear comfortable clothes and avoid attempting the activity during extreme weather conditions.

While the beach remains safe for sightseeing and photography, locals often caution tourists about strong currents in certain parts of the sea, especially during monsoon months.

With its mix of scenic beauty and adventure tourism, Aare Ware Beach is no longer just a quiet stop on the Konkan route. Between the ocean views, winding roads and now a zipline soaring above the Arabian Sea, Ratnagiri’s coastline has found a new reason to trend among travellers this year.
